We look forward to getting to know you while you are here. One of the most enjoyable parts of any visit is getting to hear people's stories. We would like to share a little bit about ourselves and how we landed in Palestine, Texas.
We were married August 2005 in Salzburg, Austria. This was the beginning of a new life for both of us which has become an on-going experience of co-creation. Many couples marry with the intention of creating a family, but our creation took a different form based on our past experiences and interests.
Alan has spent years helping to open over 28 nightclubs and restaurants in Dallas along with running his own catering business. Trained as an opera singer, he has performed with several opera companies including the Dallas Opera.
Vicki is a retired teacher from Michigan. She moved to Texas two years ago to be closer to her family. She loves decorating and gardening, creating elegant surroundings where others will feel at home.
After looking at hundreds of bed and breakfasts all over the United States we were thrilled to find the Fig Tree. It offered just the right combination of bed and breakfast, restaurant and a vibrant community with loads of charm and natural beauty.
